Founded in 1986 in Barcelona (Spain), Informática Textil, S.L. focus its activities in the development and marketing of graphic design software (CAD) for the textile design. With a strong implantation(introduction) in the spanish market, and for a few years, extending its area of action to the European Union, this company bases its philosophy of work in putting at the disposal of the market a series of tools effective and advanced for the textile design that reverberate directly in the optimization of costs and processes of its clients. Nowadays, Informática Textil includes in its catalogue three big products: Penelope Dobby (for design of fabrics of machine of warps), Penelope Jacquard (for this type of fabrics) and Atrezzo 3D, destined to the simulation of environments. Penelope Dobby was the first application developed by the company and it allows the exact reproduction in the computer (or in printing) of the fabric without need to use the loom. These characteristics facilitate the creativity and the variations in the design, economizing both the costs and the time invested in its creation. Other one of the peculiarities of the system is that it allows the connection with electronic looms and even with the system of management of the company, controlling stocks like that, necessary materials and the costs of production. This knowledge background is specially interesting for the current project. With a view to the future, the persons in charge of the company bet for the development of new products and systems that facilitate, the transmission of information, the elaboration of samples in a rapid and agile form and the fast setup of the desired textile designs. |
